I was attracted to racing at an early age. Some would ask, what does it take to bring a dream to reality? For a moment, the dream became reality when I was allowed to sit in a Star Mazda Indy Lights car resting in the paddock at the Baltimore Grand Prix in 2012.
My racing experience began at Crofton Go Kart Raceway in MD, a fun race park hosting his 4th birthday party. I remember loving the adrenalin rush when going fast. I enjoyed it so much, that I spent 5 hours continuously lapping the track until it closed for the night. Shortly after, I earned the respect of my fellow racers and parents after lapping older rookie drivers during the final sprint training session at Summit Point Karting Raceway, WV. I earned my Summit Point Kart competitive driver’s license at four and a half years old in 2013. That was the beginning of my racing legacy.
At 5 years old, I began racing kid karts at King George Speedway, VA both Saturday and Sunday from 2013 to 2014. I had numerous feature wins in 2013 and won the Kid Kart Championship at King George Speedway, VA in 2014. The owners of King George Speedway and fellow racers suggested it was time to move up from club to national racing, so I joined the 2015 World Karting Series. I went from competing with ten to over thirty racers at Daytona Kart Week from 2014 to 2017. I won the WKA’s Top Ten Eagle in 2015. In the same year, I won the 2015 Maryland Sprint Divisional Series at Sandy Hook Speedway in Sandy Hook, MD.
Excellent results from a family with no help and no prior racing experience.
I love to race and collect RC and Hot Wheel cars. During my spare time, I play chess, tennis, iRacing, and DIRT Rally games. I'm a member of the SCCA in the Washington DC WDCR region and competes in the 2022 WDCR SCCA Virtual Racing League. No one can deny my love for motorsports and intent to race professionally. My ultimate dream is to be the first US, African American Formula One or touring car champion.
