SKUSA Tent Fees

As a young driver, I am improving as I get more and more seat time and experience more and more races and race series. So far this season I have competed in my local club races at my home track and also the Stars Championship Series and USPKS at my home track. We are privateers, meaning we don't race with a team. Mom and Dad do all my tuning and repairs. We have been semi-successful at the club level and also at Stars, but at the USPKS race I was basically the only privateer in my class and it showed. After reviewing onboard video with someone very respected in the karting world, it was brought to our attention that I can drive extremely well, but we were unsure why I wasn't able to be one of the front runners. We wondered if my abilities have now gone beyond my parents' knowledge of how to tune the kart and we want to test that suspicion. As a family, we decided that it would be best if we try to run with a team for the upcoming SKUSA race at the end of the month. We'd like to take my parents out of the equation and see how I can do with someone with more knowledge tuning my kart. This would help them learn some tips and tricks to tune my motor and it would also help me learn even more driving techniques to get even better and hopefully it would help me be extremely successful at SKUSA. We haven't received an official number yet, but it is estimated that it would cost us $2000-$2500 to run with the team we would like to work with for the SKUSA weekend. We would be extremely grateful for all the help we can get to raise this money. Every little bit helps! Help me kick my parents off the team for this race! ;)

About racer

In a nutshell, I have loved cars and racing since birth. At the age of 3, a conversation with INDYCAR driver Charlie Kimball got me interested in INDYCAR and being a race car driver. At the age of 6, I decided I wanted to interview the professional drivers and my YouTube channel, Asher's Racing Channel, was born. I am now known as the "INDYCAR Kid Reporter" and I interview all the drivers as often as possible. Upon chatting with drivers about how they got started in racing, they all said they started in karting so I knew what I needed to do next. I started racing in the kid kart class at the age of 7, moved up to the LO206 cadet class the following year at age 8, and now at age 10 I'm racing in LO206 cadet and micro/mini swift. You can usually either find me at my kart races or at an INDYCAR race where all the drivers know me by name. My goal is to progress up the ladder from karting to one day race in the NTT INDYCAR Series.
