Mason Filippi is a 25 year old professional racecar driver for Bryan Herta Autosport in Michelin Pilot Challenge. He races in IMSA Weathertech Series, at the Nurburgring and dabbles in NASCAR. Mason got his start on dirt bikes, moved to karts at age 11 and transitioned into Spec Miata at the age of 14. In the Spec Miata class, he was hands on with his dad, learning the mechanics of the car while simultaneously honing his race craft. He then climbed the touring car ranks to become a factory driver for Hyundai in IMSA.
This year Mason is making his Xfinity NASCAR series debut, capitalizing on his road course experience and building upon his future race career.
When he's not racing, Mason travels around the country as a professional driver coach, advising and improving racers in cars varying from TC to Ferrari Challenge.
His goals include an IMSA Weathertech championship, a LeMans win, and to race the 24 hours of Nurburgring and a NASCAR Cup Debut on his home track Sonoma Raceway in the next 5 years.
He is doing all this while developing OpenFender to give a tool to the racing community and improving the sport for racers and fans.
