Hi, I’m chasing my dream of competing at the highest level in the U.S. Right now, I race in the Tillotson 225 class, but to keep improving, I need to move up to KA100—the most competitive karting category for young drivers.
🏁 THE CHALLENGE? Racing isn’t just about talent and hard work—it also requires the right equipment. And that comes with big costs.
🏁 WHAT I'M RAISING FUNDS FOR:
🏎️ A KA100 go-kart – $8,000 (Factory Karts or GFC)
🔥 Engine – $3,000
💰 Total: $11,000 to make the jump to KA100.
And that’s just for the kart. Racing in prestigious events like SKUSA and Challenge of the Americas means higher maintenance, training, and race entry costs—adding $30,000 per year beyond what my family is already paying.
🏁 WHY IT MATTERS
KA100 is where the best young drivers in the U.S. compete. Racing here will give me the experience I need to reach the next level and prove myself on the national stage.
🏁 MY GOAL?
Round 6 of Tri-C Karters at K1 Circuit – August 2-3, if I can secure the budget to compete.
🏁 WHY YOUR SUPPORT MEANS EVERYTHING
Many racing legends faced financial struggles early in their careers. Robert Kubica, Poland’s first Formula 1 driver, nearly had to quit karting because of the high costs—until THE Italian company CRG believed in him and gave him a chance.
I don’t have a professional team backing me. My dad and I service the kart ourselves, transport it on a folding trailer, and even rely on my coach to weld a cracked chassis. It may not look fancy, but it works—and it gets results!
🏁 JOIN MY JOURNEY!
Every contribution, big or small, helps me keep racing. Like the teams that believed in young drivers before me, your support can make all the difference.

🏁 LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN TOGETHER!
🏁 I’m Mati Dragan – a 13-year-old karting driver tearing up U.S. tracks with both the American and Polish flags on my kart. The only Polish racer in California—and the only one from Orange County!
What started as a hobby to adjust to a new country has become my passion. In just one year, on used equipment and without a pro team, I’ve won two Tillotson 225 championships in California. Now, I’m chasing the next challenge—KA100, the most competitive karting class in the U.S.
🏆 ACHIEVEMENTS:
• 🏁 3 months in – First race.
• 🥉 7 months in – First podium.
• 🔝 10 months in – 4th place finish against older, more experienced drivers.
• 🥇 1 year in – Two-time Tillotson 225 champion.
🏅 RACE RESULTS:
• 7 First-place finishes
• 3 Runner-up finishes
• 1 Third-place finish
• 2 Championships
NO PRO TEAM, NO BIG BUDGET—JUST DETERMINATION. My dad and I service the kart ourselves, haul it on a folding trailer, and even rely on my coach to weld a cracked chassis. It’s not fancy, but it works—and it gets results!
🏁 THE NEXT STEP: KA100.
I know I can compete at this level—I’ve already raced against some of the top KA100 drivers in the Tillotson class! On track, the battles are intense, but off track, we push each other to improve and grow.
🏁 MY GOAL?
Round 6 of Tri-C Karters at K1 Circuit, August 2-3—if I can make the jump to KA100.
With the right support, I can take this next step and keep chasing my dream. Let’s make it happen! 🚀🏎️💨
